Talk about Anne Hathaway's Relationship with Raffaello Follieri. In 2004, Anne Hathaway began a relationship with Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri.

During their relationship, Anne Hathaway took part in the development of the charitable Follieri Foundation, serving as a financial donor as well as a member of the foundation's board of directors until 2007. A Manhattan-based charity founded in 2003 focusing on programs such as providing vaccinations for children in Third World nations, the organization had come under investigation in June 2008 by the IRS, for failing to file tax papers required from non-profit organizations. Citing the fear that this and other ongoing legal issues involving Follieri would become detrimental to her acting career, Hathaway ended her relationship with him in mid-June 2008.

Raffaello Follieri was arrested in June 2008 on fraud charges for allegedly fleecing investors out of millions of dollars in a scheme in which Raffaello Follieri posed as the Vatican's point man on real estate investing. It was reported that the FBI confiscated Anne Hathaway's private journals from Follieri's New York City apartment as part of their ongoing investigation into Follieri's activities; however, Anne Hathaway was not charged with any crime.

On October 23, 2008, after earlier pleading guilty, Raffaello Follieri was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

In the October 2008 issue of W Magazine, Anne Hathaway spoke for the first time of the break-up and Raffaello Follieri's subsequent arrest. She related that she "spent a week in shock" after Follieri's arrest, and credited the kindness of friends for her ability to keep working during such difficult times. That same month, during her turn as host of Saturday Night Live, Anne Hathaway joked about the experience in her opening monologue.

with what she considered "really strong values," and has stated she wanted to be a nun during her childhood. However, at the age of fifteen, she decided not to become a nun after learning that her brother, Michael, is gay. Despite her Catholic upbringing, Anne Hathaway felt that she could not be part of a religion that disapproved of her brother's sxual orientation.

In 2009, Anne Hathaway stated that she is a non-denominational Christian because she had not "found the religion" for her.

In early 2010, Anne Hathaway stated her religious beliefs as "nothing".

"The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out," she told British GQ. "Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?"

But Episcopalianism didn't really take either.

It was reported on December 8, 2009 that Anne Hathaway was up for the role of Felicia Hardy in the upcoming superhero film, Spider-Man 4. Felicia Hardy would not have transformed into the Black Cat, as in the comics; instead, Raimi’s Felicia was expected to become a brand-new superpowered figure called the Vulturess.

On January 5, 2010, it was reported that Spider-Man 4 would be re-written and Anne Hathaway would not appear in the film, as she was "too expensive".

Originally, Spider-Man 4 was set to begin filming in February, then in March, then late March/early April, but now the studio decided production will halt indefinitely. Sony insiders told Finke, “We will be extending the production hiatus on the film. The studio is firmly committed to this franchise but, for us, the script must come first.”

Even after the script passed through the hands of Jamie Vanderbilt, David Lindsay-Abaire and Gary Ross, Raimi reportedly hated it. Raimi and Sony are currently anxiously waiting for a rewrite from Spider-Man 2 and 3 scribe Alvin Sargent. Sargent’s expediency will dictate the film’s release, but it’s widely understood that there’s no chance it’ll be ready by May 5th, 2011, the date that’s belonged to Spider-Man 4 since September 2008. Sony still has its fingers crossed for a Summer 2011 release, but the coveted first weekend of the summer will likely be snatched up by another potential blockbuster.

The release date isn’t the only thing that’s been dropped, so has Anne Hathaway. Raimi is still adamant on having John Malkovich play the villain, so he’s likely to stick around, but Hathaway’s price tag is way too hefty. An insider mentioned that the film doesn’t really need such a big star anyway.

Anne Hathaway did lose quite a bit of weight. Anne Hathaway's not anorexic, but media pressures accusing her of being almost too curvy must of had an effect on Anne Hathaway. If you were told by the media on a daily basis that you needed to be a stick, wouldn't you feel like you need to lose weight?

With the death of Heath Ledger by an accident of over-medication, Heath is finally getting the rest that he desperately was seeking for in heaven than on earth. This one hour is a loving tribute with cast members like mini-me's Verne Troyer showing genuine tears as he talked about his friend, Heath. In fact, nobody says anything negative about Heath's life except that he was taken too soon. There are some moments like the sex scenes between him and Jake Gyllenhall in Brokeback Mountain that could have been left on the cutting room floor. Other than that in a short hour, Heath is fondly remembered by co-stars, friends, and colleagues as a warm-hearted wonderful human being. In fact, I wish that there were more men like Heath around. Nobody has forgotten the daughter that he left behind too.

Anne Hathaway's now done a cameo on FOX's other animated stalwart. Life & Style reported earlier this week that Anne Hathaway, who earned an Oscar nod this year for "Rachel Getting Married," popped into the FOX lot recently to record her scene, and we were able to get a few details on her appearance.

A network rep says Anne Hathaway'll be playing herself on the show, and the story has Anne Hathaway's presenting an Oscar (to whom, we're not sure). Given the long production schedule for animated shows, it's likely that Hathaway's cameo wouldn't air until next season.

Anne Hathaway outed herself as a "Family Guy" and "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" fan on the Oscar red carpet -- "any animated television series that's geared toward a 13-year-old boy, I'm into it," she said, setting countless fanboys' hearts aflutter.

Anne Hathaway next non-animated role will be in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland." Anne Hathaway also just signed on to play Judy Garland in the biopic "Get Happy."

It's not an easy movie to watch. I just saw it (Anne Hathaway Film "Rachel Getting Married") yesterday. It tackles sibling issues, but it has more than just that. It may seem like it is light and easy and I thought initially it might be a bit of a funny or witty movie. It was rather the opposite. Lots of really raw emotion. Almost painful. If you like brooding indy movies. This is it.

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement is the 2004 sequel to 2001's The Princess Diaries.

I love this movie!!, I completely disagree with critics reviews of this movie!! I am a 25 yr old married woman mother of 2 and I love it and I watch it every week!! It kept with the whole plot of Mia growing up to become a woman not a teenager anymore(people do have to grow up you know you cant make a 2nd movie and have her still a teenager) and finding true love and making sacrifices in life for her country! My mother even enjoys watching both princess diaries with me and my children. I really do hope that they get everyone back for one last big movie finale of the royal wedding and that it is just as great as the first 2 are! I give this movie a 10 out of 10 because its a wonderful movie that makes you just feel like a little girl again that there is a prince charming out there!

Amazing, A great film for both children and teens. Anne Hathaway plays her part as Mia Thermopolis excellently and no other actress could fulfil the role as well as she did! Lots of jokes and laughter add to the film to make it a 10/10 viewing. Hoping that there will be a third. Currently reading the books. In my opinion they are not as good as the film, but still worth a read. Hoping they will make a third. If they do, i hope they will stick to the original actresses and actors as they could not be replaced easily. Fingers crossed there will be a third and maybe even fourth film sooner rather than later. I would recommend the film to anyone wanting to have a good laugh and watch a feel-good film.

Anne Hathaway is nominated in the best actress category for "Rachel Getting Married,". Hathaway said Winslet has the edge for her performance in "The Reader," USA Today reported Saturday.

Becoming Jane
"Becoming Jane" is supposed to be about the love life of Jane Austen, author of "Pride and Prejudice." Too bad "Becoming Jane" and the film version of "Pride and Prejudice" are basically the same movie. Because of this, "Becoming Jane" seems to be redundant and unnecessary. To top it off, Keira Knightley's performance as the fictional Elizabeth Bennett is far more dazzling than Hathaway's portrayal of Jane Austen.

Anne Hathaway plays the strong female type well, but Jane Austen's personality is a little too witty and biting for Hathaway. Knightley has a little more fire in her, and she brings that to the character of Elizabeth. After all, she has worked with pirates.

When watching "Becoming Jane," viewers may feel more fascinated by the landscape and settings than by the movie or acting. The homes and properties of the wealthy characters are lavish and provide an eye candy effect that is usually more interesting than the characters.

We have nothing against Anne Hathaway, but "Becoming Jane" is an overall flop. It is trumped by "Pride and Prejudice," mostly because of Keira Knightley's more sprightly performance of the Elizabeth/Jane role, but also because of its lack of passion.

Ella Enchanted
"Ella Enchanted" is a story about a young girl, Ella, who had a spell cast on her as a baby. The spell is an obedience spell; therefore, Ella must obey all orders given to her.

The set-up of this movie is incredibly similar to Cinderella. Her name is Ella, and she has an evil stepmother and two snobby step-sisters who torment her. A prince is in search of a wife to be his princess, and there is a ball in which all the women desperately want to go to. All of this has been done before with Cinderella remakes in general.

Overall, "Ella Enchanted" is boring and lacks freshness. It doesn't produce much laughs and even Hathaway's performance is bland. There seems to be no connection between her and the character, as if she just wasn't that into it. "Ella Enchanted" is a failed attempt to put a new twist on an old story.

The Princess Diaries
The Princess Diaries is a comedy-drama film and the screen adaptation of Meg Cabot's 2000 novel of the same name. The film stars Anne Hathaway as Mia Thermopolis, a teenager who discovers that she is the heir to the throne of the fictional Genovia, ruled by her grandmother, Queen Clarisse Renaldi, who is portrayed by Julie Andrews. It also stars Heather Matarazzo as Mia's best friend Lilly Moscovitz, Héctor Elizondo as Renaldi's head of security, and Robert Schwartzman as Lilly's brother, who has a crush on Mia.

The movie itself is charming. Watching Mia's progression from an average teenager who pukes (literally) at the thought of public speaking to a royal figure is inspiring and fun. Mia's clumsiness is the cause of much of the movie's humor. During her first formal dinner as a princess, she starts a fire and causes chaos when a waiter trips over her as she picks up her dropped food off the floor. She undergoes a make-over, prepares to rule a country and deals with the press all while managing to stay true to herself. She embraces her newly acquired identity and intertwines it with her own personal one.

Mia's relationship with her grandmother, Queen Clarisse (Julie Andrews), is touching. They start off roughly, but gradually become as close as, well…grandmother and grandchild. Queen Clarisse teaches Mia about royal life while Mia teaches Queen Clarisse about average life with corndogs, arcade games, and convertibles. Queen Clarisse overcomes being just a queen to Mia and allows herself to put their family relations before their royal ones. Princess Diaries is a cute tale of friendship, the importance of family, and responsibility.

The Devil Wears Prada
The Devil Wears Prada is a 2006 comedy-drama film, a loose screen adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name. It stars Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, a recent college graduate who goes to New York City and gets a job as a co-assistant to powerful and demanding fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep. Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci co-star in support of the two leads, as catty co-assistant Emily Charlton, and critical yet supportive Art Director Nigel, respectively. Adrian Grenier, Simon Baker and Tracie Thoms play key supporting roles. Wendy Finerman produced and David Frankel directed; the film was distributed by 20th Century Fox.

"The Devil Wears Prada" features Anne Hathaway along side the legendary Meryl Streep in which Hathaway plays a junior assistant to the editor-in-chief (Streep) of a fashion magazine titled Runway. Andy Sachs (Hathaway) immediately finds the job difficult and is looked down on by virtually everyone in the office. Without any training, Andy must figure out how to do her job on her own. Streep's character, Miranda Priestly, is harsh, blunt, and usually just plain mean. She calls Andy fat and insults her fashion sense, as well as demands her to be on-call at all times. Andy even had to miss her boyfriend's birthday to be at Miranda's side at a formal event where she had to know all of the guests' faces and names since Miranda is supposed to, but does not.

Despite Miranda's icy personality, Andy seems to want her to like her. She strives to prove to Miranda and her co-workers that she is capable and can excel at her job. Andy is a likeable and strong woman who does not let others hinder her motivation. Hathaway fits the part and is believable as Andy.

In the end, Andy walks away from the job that, according to many other characters in the movie, "millions of girls would kill for." She takes a position at a local newspaper instead. The last time she sees Miranda is on a street in New York. Andy is walking on one side of the street when she spots Miranda getting into her limo on the other. Miranda glances at Andy who waves, but does not acknowledge her. Once Miranda is in the car, she smiles to herself. Perhaps Andy's biggest accomplishment is breaking into the interior of Miranda Priestly, who tells the man hiring Andy that he would be an idiot not to take her. "The Devil Wears Prada" demonstrates that there is softness hidden under even the hardest of surfaces-and that is encouraging.

Anne Hathaway' ex was sentenced to four-and-a-half year in jail after pleading guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering earlier this year, reports the Daily Express.

Raffaello Follieri’s prosecutors filed legal papers in NY on Dec 15, in which they claimed that Raffaello has agreed to pay restitution of 1.3 million pounds to the Toronto-based company Dundee Realty Corp.

Raffaello'll also be paying 542,000 pounds to Yucaipa Corporate Initiatives Fund and 26,666 pounds to an Atlantic City monsignor.

Raffaello Follieri was arrested in June (08), just 2 weeks after Anne Hathaway ended their 4 years romance.

Anne Hathaway Post Break-Up: ‘It’s Not Part Of My Life Anymore’ - She split from her love of five years — the now-incarcerated Raffaello Follieri – this past June. And although Anne’s talked about the split in the 6 months that have passed, She has now revealed to Vogue’s January issue that Hathaway realized her relationship with the Italian was over long before the Feds came knocking.

“I was a 21-year-old kid when I met him,” Anne Hathaway told the mag. “It wasn’t a huge, dramatic breakup. We were in the process of winding it down when he was arrested. I don’t talk about this, except when I’m asked. It’s not a part of my life anymore.”

Hodge's attorney William Hughes says he agreed to the deal in the hopes of recovering at least a portion of the $110,000 left Follieri by his parents.

Follieri duped Hodge into turning over the cash by claiming he needed it to reimburse nuns working out of his Manhattan offices. Hodge met Follieri while Follieri was attempting to buy up unused church land in Atlantic City.

Several other alleged victims of Follieri's swindle, including business partner Nicholas Mastronardi, have pending claims.

I Like Anne Hathaway, because Hathaway's an amazing actress, really pretty, one great actress, a good actress. I liked her (without actually knowing her), but the more I've read about her as a person I don't really care for her. I will still watch her movies though.

So Neutral. Anne Hathaway's a good actress with a really good fashion sense. On the other hand she is reportedly very insecure with herself and loved her con boyfriend until he got put in jail. I hate the hyprocrisy of Anne jetting around the world with this man and saying how in love with him she was and then dumping him as soon as he gets caught. Granted, what he did was very wrong, but she was living a lavish life with him until he got caught.

After Anne Hathaway splitting from fraud Raffaello Follieri, who is now behind bars, she has reportedly moved on to another social climber.

Anne Hathaway star was spotted vacationing with Adam Shulman. An insider said that Shulman is not much of an improvement from Follieri. "Adam is known as an opportunist," the New York Post quoted an insider, as saying.

"When he was at Brown (University), he went after all the heiresses. It's like Anne is addicted to losers,” the insider added.

However, Shulman’s representative made no comments on the issue.
